The strapless concept is flexible enough to suit a wide range of bimini constructions. The large bimini in this clip has collapsible legs for easy storage, but these are by no means standard or required for the design to work.

Kits are available with 7/8” (22mm) or 1” (25mm) tubing. All components are made from marine-grade 316 stainless steel for years of trouble-free use.

Can I use convert the bimini on my power boat to strapless?
Yes you can, but the system is not designed to bear the heavy loads generated when travelling at speed. A few extra steps will help keep you safe.
We strongly advise folding up biminis while underway (or trailering on the road). This prevents damage to your canvas, hardware, deck, etc. Our canvas shop regularly makes repairs for customers who regret trying to leave a bimini up while underway or on the road. The strapless system makes taking down biminis very quick and simple because it is so easy to deploy.
If you cannot take down the canvas while travelling at speed, please take the following precautions when installing your strapless bimini:
- Use a pair of forward straps to control the load on the bimini’s forward cantilevered edge and prevent it flying up (and breaking/tearing components). These can be removed when the boat slows.
- Any set screws in the bimini frame’s lower connections should be replaced with screws mounted through the eye end and into the tubing to make the fittings secure.
- Secure the deck mounts with through-bolts (not simply screws into the fiberglass).

The hinged strapless Bimini kit works well.
Installation was easy. Absolutely recommend the hinged mount over the slip-on. Be sure to center the tube joint when folded before tightening and setting the Bimini back up. Double check measurements. Save lengths of marked tape just in case you discover measured incorrectly. If you do make a minor mistake, or if the tube does not make canvas tight enough, no biggie. Simply loosen the mounts and lower horizontal tube until the canvas is made tight. That is what I did.
